Went into the gas station, came back out to this....

A nice little hit and run. No note, no nothing. It honestly may have happened at my house, but I was so out of it yesterday before this happened that I just may have not noticed when I left home.

Oh well... it happens, but damn... I wish it wouldn't have. I was going to place an order for a new pulley, intake and sway bar on the 15th too. Not now. I'll wait till next decent check because I want to get some time at the track this year!!

If the incident possibly occurred at the gas station I would ask to see the store video during that time frame. You might get lucky and see an LP # to provide to your local law enforcement agency

That's a good idea. I was looking to see if there were any cameras around there... I didn't see any, but that doesn't mean there isn't any.

Yeah, it was frustrating as hell. I really think it could have been my neighbor as well...

Looks like it was a decent size vehicle by the height. Not that the MINI is very tall. but probably an SUV or truck. Maybe you can find some color transfer to see if it was your neighbor.

Good luck on the repairs. hate it when that happens.

ouch that really sucks to see, hopefully the gas station has a camera or something so you can get some help.

They will have cameras. It's how they get the folks who fill up and drive off without paying. Whether they'll let you look at the tape is another story.

Looking at video worked on my wifes Edge, parking lot at the school she worked at, one of the school cooks backed into her and drove off, had security look at video no doubt who it was, when confronted with video evidence there was no way to say it wasn't her.

Thanks everyone. I think it will be ok... I'd really like to get it wrapped in that matte black or the carbon fiber wrap. So I'm gonna see what the body shops say when I take it in next week.

Yep, looks like some clown backed into you. I feel your pain, it happened to me as well and on Xmas eve Dec 24th a few years back on a totally empty parking lot at work. No note, nada. Fortunately it was the passenger side front quarter panel where the "S" grilles are. I was also lucky as by miracle there was no paint damage to the panel but the sheetmetal itself was rippled badly. Picture what happens when you squeeze or step on an empty Coke can. After Xmas I took the car to a friend of mine that used to be a master repair tech at Dent Wizard. He was off that week but he told me to bring it to his house. When he saw it he got furious but went for his PDR tools and got working on ti. After a couple of beers and two solid hours of overly patient PDR work he had strenghthen that panel like if nothing had happened. I was amazed. He charged me $200 but I gave him $300 so he could buy a little extra for his kid for Xmas.He attempted the repair making no guarantees. I told him do knock himself out with the PDR tools as at that point there was nothing to lose. I was already looking at getting a new primed replacement panel, paint and installation. $300 bucks was nothing for saving the factory panel and original paint. The repair still stands to this day.

Take it to Dent Wizard or a reputable PDR repair facility in your area. They may be able to take that dent out thus saving you your insurance deductible and loss of use of the car to a traditional body shop.
