Fuel Economy.gov

Has anyone seen the entry on there for the Cooper (non-S). It shows fuel type as "premium". The owners manual says 89 (which is not premium). Personally I use regular, and have no issues. The running cost appears high because they specify premium on the site, which is sort of incorrect.

There are a TON of threads on this, it's a heated topic. The manual recommends premium but allows for regular. Search the site using Google to find an appropriate thread.

Put this in the search bar to narrow results down to NAM:

site:northamericanmotoring.com premium gas
