Stereo issue, speakers cut out.

The front speakers in my '04 R53 cut in and out. Not a fade out or crackle, just all of a sudden no volume and then it will come back?

Help!!!

If you are using your iPod connector, check the cable connection....mine comes loose really easily. I thought my speakers were messed up but, it was just the loose cable.

Yes, it is an HK system. This happens with FM radio. no iPod connection in the car. happens with cd's as well. I don't have a changer, just the single in the dash. I'm wondering if i need to check some plugs. Which ones and where?

Does the stereo head unit go blank when it happens? Or is it just the speakers that cut off?

Chances are that your HK amp is dying.

I agree. You should probably replace the vehicle.
