CTM's Stock Run Flat Tyre with water issues

CTM's Stock Run Flat Tyre with water issues

After some wet driving, driving through puddles at some speeds, the car seems to be pulling into the puddle. Is this considered hydroplaning? it pulls really hard towards the side the wheel is in the puddle.

Also, i had the rear end kicked out while corning because of the water puddle towards the inner or the apex of the corner which i didn't see. However, i have a little bit of throttle before hitting the puddle just hoping to stabilize the car. But the rear end kicked out anyways... The dsc system and ALL4 worked really welll together. I have the All4 , but the end is still kicking out. Is the countryman more of a oversteer biased car?

So are the stock run flat tyres intended to be driven in rainy seasons as well as summer seasons? Should i swap them to yokohama's AD08, or Bridgestone S001?

The increased resistance of plowing through water at speed will cause any car to pull to that side. Hydroplanning is when the tire rides on top of the water and you lose control of the direction the car is going. There is no tire that will not hydroplane if you drive fast enough into deep enough water. Some tires are better than others in standing water. It does not matter if they are summer or all-season tires.
