JCW with Viper Stripes

I want to get viper stripes minus the red stripe that would be on the roof. Do you think that will look silly? Or should I just get the viper and put the red stripes on the roof? My car is Chili Red with a black top.

I think they look cleaner without stripes IMO. I used to like them, then changed.

I personally like the red and contrasting stripes for the roof, but, no, it won't look silly without them. I currently don't have stripes on my roof (previous owner had the heli-pad which I removed) and it doesn't look like stripes should be there. Although, I'm toying with the idea of getting my roof painted black and getting mellow yellow stripes for my roof. I do kind of like the white roof on the other hand. Keeps it retro. I'm so torn.

Just be warned, the sun in San Antonio will fade paint fast...meaning when you remove the stripes (assuming your aren't painting them) your paint will likely have ghost stripes from where the paint was covered...

wait- just found your pics. If you want my $.02 (hell i'm only 19) paint the body chrome red to match or vinyl if you choose and joey mod the car. Kinda my style but with red. I think it's way cleaner.

I keep coming back to that JCW that is on autotrader.( By the way anyone else that is reading this you need to check that 2010 JCW MINI that is on there. Its Red and black its just a really nice looking car.) Do you remember the one that i showed you? But every time I look at my roof and my windows with the dark tint on there I dont think I want to put red stripes on it.

I think it is just personal preference, I like the the stripes you had before. To me, it looks more agressive and for some reason lower. Either way, you can lose.

JPMM, are the stripes gold?? Looks gold in one pic and black in the other. Are those the 18'' wheels? I like those better than the Challenge wheels, personally. Looking good. How are you liking it over your R53?

Quite striking don't you think

The stripes are a black reflective vinyl , so when you look at them, they are black but sometimes they reflect light back. The gold tinge was the sun setting behind me. The snows are on 17" wheels from Tirerack. On sale. Sparco's. I like them but I would prefer wider ones for summer.
I miss my R53 ;the race car feeling. Although the R56 is faster and has a better ride and better brakes . Hard to explain... first love?

I actually think the gold looks better on the red, even if it is reflected sunlight. Badass car either way!

its hard to show with a photo
the stripes change as you walk around the car (or with a headlight shine)
