hi,
I have a question regarding the whole production and delivery process...
how long does it take after the dealer tells u that your mini's in production till u get the car?
cause first of all the production of my baby got delayed a month so instead of having the car late jan they told me i'm gonna get it late feb...BUT it's feb 8th now and i still havent recieved a call from the dealer saying my mini's in production

I am really really furious with the dealer I should have had the car now

anyways, i'd appreciate if u could lemmie know how long is the whole process after the car goes into production

2 months from your production number to dealer prep is a safe bet. Get on the horn to your dealer and ask them what's up. They may have the number, but haven't called you yet.

A one month production delay sounds more like the dealer bumping you to their next month's order than any delay at the factory...

I know you can't wait, but be patient.
You can get into the MINI-USA site and have a production schedule, even shipment as well. Please check it out.
For your info, it was about a month from the production date till I first met my baby last year.

Give your MA a call and ask for your production number, the call 1866ASKMINI and follow the instructions. After that log onto the Mini Owners Lounge and begin to enjoy tracking your baby. Mini2.com has very interesting information concerning order trackin under FAQ.
It almost sounds as though your order was submitted just as the dates rolled over to the next month. Patients is tested during the long wait and anticipation mounts with each stage of production and delivery. Check 1866ASKMINI frequently as well as the owners lounge. Download the ownwes manual, search out goodies for your car. Heck chalk out its parking space and hang your PARKING FOR MINIS ONLY sign up it a dominate space.
Let us know who your dealer is too.

thanx for your replies,
my problem is that the owner's lounge feature is not available in Canada, so all the info is gievn out by MA's...I still havent heard anything from my MA . she told me she'd give me a call whenever the car goes into production...still no news
I guess I'd have to call em this week and have a big fight .
this is no way of treating customers

I'd have to admit buying the MINI from a cute MA was a mistake
i couldnt get mad at her...but now i will.. for the sake of my baby

Mine took just under 2 months from order to pickup. It ended up being 2 months and 1 day due to work constraints on my part. In the States, dealers have a limited quantity that they can submit per month, so it sounds like yours got bumped to the next months order list. My MA was cute too, but I just e-mailed her a lot to keep the communication lines open.

Just my 2 cents.
