I purchased a 2006 Mini Cooper S a couple years ago. It clearly had a luggage rack of some sort in the past, but it was no longer with the car when I bought it. See the attached pictures. Can anybody tell me what rack (or racks?) these are for? I'm interested in purchasing it if you can help me figure this out.

 

probably the stock MINI rack. Its the only one i know of that literally bolts to the roof. The others (Thule, Yakima, ect) clamp onto the roof gutters.

 

Yep, OEM. They have little covers that go over the fittings when the rack is not installed as well.

 

Awesome, thanks. Any idea of the best place to get an OEM rack? There is a Mini dealer within 2 hours of where I live, but I imagine like most things it could be found cheaper online. Thanks for the help!

 

Check here in the Marketplace, ebay or craigslist - they come up occasionally. Way cheaper than the dealer.
