Interested in hearing from anyone who's got this on their MINI- how does it work at the various speeds- any pics??
I'd be very interested in cutting the noise on mine some, but not if the effect is butt-ugly.

I like mine. It does cut down some of the wind howl, and its not that big or noticeable...when the sunroof is closed it is completely flat and not visible, the roof closes over it.

When you open the roof, it pops up--its only a few inches high...

It doesn't detract at all, from the view inside the car...I'll try to post a picture of it tomorrow.

Do you mean the plastic kind that sit on the roof? If so, and you install one, never take it off because you'll be pissed at what it did to your paint.

I'm pretty happy with the sunroof without any after-market
wind deflector. It has it's limits, but is much better than
others. Many cars develop a "whamp-whamp-whamp"
sound that'll drive you nuts, in the MINI this never happens.
The New Bug I found to be intolerable at about 30mph.

God speed.

Can't help with the MINI one but I put a very similiar one on the sunroof of my 98 Lumina and it helped a lot. From looking at the Minimania one I'm pretty sure it would quiet the wind noise a lot. As far as looks, you'll get used to it.

hi everyone, I just got mine installed 3 days ago in Hank Aaron BMW in Atlanta.
Here comes the review.
Pros:
It redirect the wind away from the roof, sounds better and no BIG wind noise anymore.
It clip into the original sunroof with a metal clip which is screw on the plastic piece. so no damage and any work for the roof and paint.
It is not very big, it does not look much different at all. if you got a black roof which make it even better.
I have not got much chance to tested since it has been raining those days. but i will test it on sunday since it will be a sunny day and atlant MINIs will be gethering at D&B on sunday.
Cons:
go through car wash will be a problem. it might caught on something when it go through.
It gethers dirt easy insize the plastic piece(you can always take it off and clean it)

Worst thing!
They installed mine under a HIGH TEMP heat lamp, they did not realize the plastic was burned and one side actually lower than the colder side when the car was under the lamp.
bad thing seems happen very frequently to my MINI, i should look closer when i got it. but i was too excited to motoring!(she was in there for a two days windshield replacement)

In the end, i suggest people who like to use the sun roof offen to buy it. it works really well and you can take it off when you dont want it. it does not rewuire any work on original roof!!

Hope it could help!

chrisfib1,

thanks for the review...now I'm interested...the stock one makes a difference if you ever hold it down to see the difference, but I would still welcome a quieter ride when talking with a passenger...especially since its removable!

I have a white roof....anybody got pictures of this?

Okay, so far that's two reviews in the pro column. Re: how it looks on a white roof- anyone w/ pics?? I'm leaning this direction, as the thought of a much quieter sunroof at higher speeds would be waaay cool.
