Flat load floor not available to purchase as an accessary / Flat load instert ??

My Coyntryman S All4 is in production this week and I should be taking delievery in about a month according to the dealership.

I wasgoing over my order a few nights ago and I noticed that I failed to add the flat load floor. I made a call out to the dealler two days later to see if it was possible to have the option added while the car was still in production. I did not get my hopes up because I knew it was unlikely. He did tell me that once the car is in production the order can no longer be modified.

So I asked him if I could order the option and have it installed at the dealership after the car arrives and before I take delivery. He called corporate and they told him that as of right now that part is not available as an accessary. It has to be included in the initial order. So I am a little disappointed.

Does anyone know if this is 100% accurate?

Also I thought I saw a thread on here a few weeks ago about a web site that offered a flet insert to cover the opening in the floor. Did anyone else see this?

Thanks for the help.

Subwoofer emclosure

I just thought of something. I saw an advertisement for a subwoofer encloser that fills in the floor a few weeks ago some where on this forum. Does anyone remember what the site was?

I've heard a couple of times that it can't be added after the build, though hopefully they'll come out with a kit so the option can be retrofit.

Here's a thread from a guy who made his own if you want to try that. It might end up being the better option even if they do ultimately come out with the kit.

I was told by mini a mini earlier this afternoon that he heard that the option to buy the flat load floor as an accessory will be available in July. Bit he said that every time they give him a month of release they push it back again.

He also said he heard that the installation would not be cheap. I am not sure what that means exactly as far as an actual dollar amount, but w will have to wait and see.

I actually mad two pieces. One that can cover just the boot with the MINI one flipped up to cover where the seats were and a separate folding piece I put over the folded seats that I strap down to pull the seats down flat. My gallery has a picture of the larger one over the seats.

Nice work. So to accomodate the dogs one could cover the storage area with the MINI folding panel and cover the seats and headrests with your larger panel that you strap down, right? How do you secure the larger panel at the back end?

One piece covering the boot well and the folding piece covers the seats. The rear portion just sits in the convenient lip that the MINI version would have folded across.

Regarding "folding piece." Did I read somewhere that you piano-hinged the two sections and does your pic show that it has carpet on one side and some kind of (whitish) covering to protect back of sets and headrests on the other side? Details please, and thanks in advance.
