The other day i realized that my remote on my key no longer locked or unlocked my driver's side door. The passenger door and trunk unlock and lock perfectly but i noticed that when the lights flash when locking/unlocking the doors the rear lights on the driver's side are very dim..... I don't know if this is just a coincidence or if this may be an electrical problem.


Has anyone else experienced this?
Any help would be great

I would suggest that it is probally your battery is bad.
MINI's are very tempermential about voltage and amperage.
If it is the OEM battery, it is probally bad.
It may test ok but it is bad.
Without enough electrial juice, the MINI electric's do all sorts of crazy things.

 

I'd pop the door panel off and make sure the actuator is still connected. Simple thing to fix if it fell off the lock mechanism....more complex if it broke off...feeling creative on making a fix or buying a part?!
