Xenons and black lamps?

Anyone have either of these? My fords lights have annoyed me since day one. I said I would upgrade them when something came out and I basically got over it but they still annoy me just not enough to switch it out. Are the Xenons worth the money or might I be better off getting the regular lights and just upgrading later if its really that bad.

Also if you have any pictures with the black lens internal housing that would be great. Can't seem to find any "real life" pictures of those. They look great on chargers but I'm thinking my mini might look better with regulars and painting the chrome bezel flat black.

Thanks in advance. This site has done wonders for my searching and decision making.

There are a few pics in this thread:

I don't think the black housing looks good with *all* colors, but it definitely looks good with some of the darker colors. I've never owned a MINI with halogens so can't really say if it's worth the extra money, but I know one NAM member here (er1c) that said he really wishes he had picked the xenon lights when he had the chance. Retrofitting them later isn't that easy, or so I hear. I love my xenons, never had any problems with them and IMO they look more sophisticated than the halogens.

edit: Here's one way of searching the site - http://www.google.com/search?q=black...=0CAsQ_AUoATge

Blacked out Xenons (joey mod) with clear directional lenses and silver bulbs look fantastic! Xenons are worth it.

I have the blackhousing with the xees ... on my first mini i had the regular lights, the one thing i will say is it is worth the extra money ... the visibility at night is 100x better and black housing is just for looks
