Yes,

Changed my 2 spoke to a 3 spoke steering wheel. No problem, but my MA had me sign a bunch of paperwork just to cover it.

Later, I wanted to add the Cold Pac, but was too late. After waiting and waiting, I was actually glad to learn that I couln't add the cold pac because my MINI had moved from Order into Prodction.

I started out with a loaded pure silver and changed it to a jet black. Finally settled for an Indi Blue/White with a few options and JCW. :smile:

I ordered a Chili Red/White S with stripes, but changed to an Indi Blue/White S, no stripes. Deleted a bunch of dealer add-on options before they were added on, too.

I originally ordered my BRG/W MINI with the Aloy Patina dash and wanted to change it to the Anthracite dash which is more durable. When I went to change it, I found out that my MINI was already in production and could not be changed. Oh well I guess I will have to live with it. I pick up my MINI on Friday!!

Cheers,

JD

Originally ordered BRG/B and then went to BRG/W for a week and then back to BRG/B. Glad I went back to the BRG/B now though, no regrets :smile:

For the factory things, You can change your order right up to the time it's in Status 112. For the dealer added things, you can change your order right up to when they put the item on the car.

I started out with a mc in brg then switched to a indi blue mcs when I found that you could order it out of state with no mark up.

I did. Originally ordered a BRG/B without Xenon lights and front fog lights. Drove my wife's new Prius with Xenons and knew I had to have them for my aging baby boomer eyes. Cancelled the order and re-ordered from another dealer (he was able to get me on his current allocation, i.e., a shorter wait.) Now waiting on my Indy Blue/W with all the fixin's (just about) including Xenons, front fog lights and sport seats. Might as well get what you really want.

well let's see:

I only changed my order once for Mr.Motor - and it was to switch from leatherette to space cloth (good call)

With MM2, it was more an exterior color battle. First it was black/white, then it was red/white. Then it was pepper white/black, and finally I decided on indi blue/white!

Stuff I always knew I wanted: H/K, MFSW, alloy patina, Xenon, and Fogs

Motor-On,
Ryan

hi!

i called my dealer to add navigation system a few weeks ago, and he told me that my mini had gone in production the day before! so there was nothing he could do about it! but i called him back, and begged him, that i was spending more money than ever in my life, and he relunctantly ordered ANOTHER mini for me... i felt guilty, but you might as well get exactly what you want!

I didn't change my config while it was on order, but when I picked up my S, I had the daytime running lights enabled and the 2 min / 10 mph auto lock disabled. A month later when I had my factory alarm installed, I had them deactivate the DRL and reactivate the auto lock.

Options never changed on my MCS, only the color; I wanted to stick to a 20K budget, so the only option I ordered on my MCS were the awesome $550 Xenon HID headlamps. The Motoring Advisor thought I was nuts, but the Mini comes loaded in my opinion (4 wheel ABS, 6 air bags, A/C, PW, PL, P mirrors, supercharger, intercooler, alloys, 16" tires, am-fm-cd player, etc.)

Started with this color;
-Chile red/black roof

Then changed to this color;
-Liquid Yellow/White Roof

Last change was this color (Was not available when ordered in May 2003);
-Pepper White/Black roof

I ended up with the first PW/B MCS at the dealer, and glad I changed it. I really like it, and get positive comments on the color combo. The only changes I would make if I had to do it over again:

-fog light option (a bargain at $140)
-Order space cloth seats (have black Leatherette which looks like leather, but hot and sticky during warm days)

I changed color, from LY/LY to PW/PW w Lapis leather, and I added some stuff, but all before the car went into production. Reordering! The additional wait would make me crazier than I feel now. Still, whats the point in ordering if you don't get exactly what you want?

Orginally I ordered an Indi Blue car and a few days later changed it to Chili Red. My order was placed rather early, March 02, so not all the options were available at that time. However, I ordered every option that was available. The multi-function steering wheel was one of the options I ordered that was available, however the dealer screwed up and didn't get that option onto the production ticket :evil: :evil: :evil:
When I tried to get that changed they said it was too late and they could not retrofit the multi-function steering wheel after the car was delivered. Later I found out the MF steering wheel can be retrofitted, the reason why the dealer wouldn't make good was because to add the option after delivery cost $1,500
In the future I won't be ordering another car from this dealer again.

I had the same color battle as everyone else. I started out wanting a Liquid YellowBlack - until I actually saw the color in person. It looks a lot more "washed out" than it appears on the web, or photos. From there it went to ChiliWhite, IndieWhite, both silversBlack and finally ChiliBlack. In the end I threw out the silvers because, while the car looks awesome in them, they dont seem to be "MINIMini" colors. Not happy enough, I guess.

As far as the options, they never really changed. All three packages were easy choices. Wanted the guages and driving lights, but didn't want to pay $500 and $800, respectively, to have them installed. Anyone else get the factory driving lights, or did you have the same sticker shock that I had?

Originally ordered my MCS in DS/B then changed to DS/DS then finally came to my senses and ordered a BRG/BRG, glad I did as these are the best looking and fastest of all MCS’s.
