turbo on cooper, anyone?

hi im from thailand, and i think i done everything that can do with the valvetronic, im so interest to set the ball-bearing turbo with very low presurre boost, about 0.2-0.3 bar is just fine for stock engine...

and i found that many bmw with valvetronic like e46 318i had done turbo and supercharger on, so anyone has information about turbo on cooper?

thank u very much
wim

Apparently no one is going to respond. We're not rude; we just don't know of a justa that has been converted to forced induction. My last toy car was a MIata that I supercharged and it worked out great. If someone made a well engineered kit for the justa, I just might give it a try. Good luck with your search.

It is not going to be worth the pain. Trying to get the ECU to cooperate with the turbo is enough of a reason to trash can this idea. Next time buy an 'S' and be done with it.

Hi Win,

As Shane stated, you would have to have someone write a program for the ecm to fuel the vehicle at a higher rate to accommodate the additional air. Then you would have to consider if the injectors are up to the additional fueling.

Can you trade up to an S? Have you tried upgrading the intake and exhaust? That's usually good for a few extra HP. As a last ditch approach, you might check into a nitrous kit. I don't know if one exists for the MINI Justa and/or how the ECM will respond.

Good Luck.

Ron
