Active classic mini forum, USA
Hey guys
I realize there isn't as much draw here in the USA for the classic as the BMW MINI, but can anyone share their fave active forums that cover the USA? I've finally bought my classic and I can't get enough.

It's not a forum but it's a great site that covers the history of the Mini as well as other British cars.....

Go to the left side banner and under AR CARS there's a link to Mini.

MinMania, Inc is celebrating 15 years of Internet service in 2011.
Founded in 1974, Mini Mania first presented itself on the Internet in 1996. Always a leader in information and customer service, the Internet was and continues to be a great means of giving more to our friends and customers.
Early Internet history was dominated by government institutions and the academic world. In 1994, (20 years after Mini Mania was founded) the Internet went public. The Mosaic web browser had been released the year before, and public interest turned to what was formerly the domain of academics and technology geeks. Web pages began springing up, and people everywhere began realizing the enormous possibilities of an interconnected network that spanned the globe.
These early websites were more like an interactive word document than anything else, but combined with popularity of email, Internet relay chat channels and BBS-centric message boards, they became a great way for people to stay connected to friends and family and business to reach a broader audience.

if there is, I'm not aware of it ....
Back when Borders Book Stores were around it was on their magazine rack but the per copy price was UP there as well .... but you could thumb b4 you bought or just read it there!!
But I consider MiniWorld a 'must read' if you have a Mini. I learn something from every issue. there are several jobs I'd never have tackled until I saw a 'how to' in MiniWorld. I've been a subscriber for over 10 years now ... it is one of the VERY FEW magazines I get in paper form anymore. IMO the $ is worth every penny.
It is also something I just can't bring myself to throw away ... too valuable. But I'm no hoarder either. I take old issues to car shows and give 'em away to folks who show interest .... or give them to folks new to Mini so they can decide if the $ is worth it. I have a stack of around 20 sitting here right now. I'm willing to send a 'flat rate priority box' full to the first one willing to pay back the postage. In other words about 12 issues for around $12 (random selection but no duplicates as I only get one copy!). PM me if interested.

That's very generous of you.
I've only ever gotten copies here and there. Mostly stocking stuffers and when people went to England and would haul one back for me. When I buy a classic I'll probably subscribe but it is too expensive right now.

Yes there is a way. If you have a Kindle Fire you can read it and keep the issue as long as you want. I think the last time I bought a paper issue it was $110.00 to $112.00 per year. The Kindle version is about $40.00 to $45.00 per year.
I'd pay $45 to get hard copies.
interesting .... I'd never seen the Kindle version, I just auto renew every year!
right now $30 for a year (plus 6 back issues) or you can go month to month for $2.99
you don't need to buy a Kindle btw .. there are free Kindle apps for Mac, Windows, iPAD and iPhone & android .... I've used the one for iPAD and it works just fine.
thanks for the info ...
