MINI Connected & Pandora Issues

I seem to be lost here anyway here is my issue.

I plug my Iphone 4 with latest update into my MINI via the included Y cable. Then I start the pandora application. now when I go to the radio section of my MINI Connected I see the Pandora icon in the list however when I scroll down and try to select it nothing happens. No matter how many times i press down the joy stick it nothing happens it the "check" mark just stay were it was previously "FM, AM, Ect....".

Any ideas whats happening? do I visit the dealer?

Did you try the AUX option on your radio(if there is one?)

I have an '08 so no mini connected, but if its a Y cable into the headphone jack of your iphone then it won't know theres pandora.
Unless you're connecting to the bottom of the iphone, then im not sure. Just throwing that out there, but i could be completely wrong too.
I don't know the mini connected at all, sorry.

The pandora is suppose to work via the usb y cable. MINI connected recognizes my Iphone and that pandora is availible (pandora icon appears in MINI's screen) just cant select the darn thing.

Be sure to turn off your audio bluetooth if you have been using it. It's incompatible with MiniConnected.

Have you tried to just select it with highlight and leaning the stick to the right? You also may need to turn the volume up as well. I assume that you have a Pandora account setup with music stations.

Mine is working, so I am not sure what is happening to you. When I start the Pandora app and connect the cable, pandora shows some up down arrows with Pandora logo and mini logo. Do you get the arrows?

Yeah I get the arrows on the iphone and if I lean the joystick right it goes to the options if whatever has the check mark next to it. When I highlight pandora and push the stick down nothing happens.

I believe you have to be on 4.2x or 4.3 software on the iphone or it will not work. The GM at the dealer I bought through had to update the software and reinstall the mini connect app on the phone to get everything to work.

Also, be sure you have the right AV cable. A picture of it is in this thread.

Hi Ginvent, yeah go into Pandora through the button under "Mini Connected". That one works. The Pandora button under "Radio" used to work on the earlier version of the mini cooper. (you have a new one congrats! I'd expect Pandora to update their app with a fix for that soon.

I really love using Pandora in the mini btw!
