Not a poser at all. I have a Checkmate and I think the checkered graphic looks awesome on the a-panel. You are NOT pretending to be a checkmate, you are simply customizing your MINI. That's what owning a MINI is all about. Besides the Checkmate MINIs have the two-tone interior, and checkmate labels on the door sills are rear side windows. It's not like you are putting a JCW label on a non-JCW MINI. I say go for it!

The whole fun of a MINI is personalizing it. Go for it. I find it odd when someone with a Justa puts an "S" bonnet on it, but hey whatever. The graphics are just fun, and they aren't permanent so you can have fun with it.

I was thinking of the blackjack as well. I like the look but not sure is stipes would look good with them,..... next opinion.

 

I am a nut for the checkered flag pattern! Thought I was going to do a graphic on the sides, but decided to go a bit subtler. Changed out the wing mirrors to the checkered caps....Loved it...then also got the rear view mirror cover to match...awesome...next, I'm ordering matching side scuttles...that should about do it...maybe....Not touching the interior, yet, as I think it's positively sexy the way it is!! I have 2010 Horizon Blue Clubbie with black stripes on the bonnet, so the checks look fantastic on her!! Love the customization of this sweet whip!

 

Go for the checkers. I have the checkmate package but I lost my checkers due to some damage to my passenger a-panel. All though I'm lucky and work for a printing company that makes stickers so I was able to remake mine. Just they are better then before. I made them out of reflective material and it looks epic at night as the different lights hit it. I'm working on making the checkmate words that sit right above the a panel. Jus trying to find a great font to make it unique from any other checkmate package.

 

Checkmate was not only an S option. I had a 2006 R50 Checkmate. Loved that package!

 

Ya mine isn't an s either. Which in fine with not having an s. I heard alot of the s models tear them selves apart. How true it is idk but I'm sure alot depends on how you drive it.
