R53 Projector Xenon bulb replacement

I have an '05 MCS, before I look in my Bentley, does anyone know how hard it is to change a bulb in the projector style Xenon assembly's?

Thanks!

Jason

so... you own a bently for the car, and really, your asking the INTERNET how to do this? I did just watch a video on forum etiquette so your in luck. I just wanted to express my resounding disappointment and disapproval for the misuse of a forum, when the CORRECT information is something you can easily reference and perhaps CONTRIBUTE that information to the community if it is needed, but something tells me you didnt search before posting this. maybe reading instead o looking for easy fast cheap shitty answers would serve you mini better.

Wow, who pissed in your cheerios? FYI, I did look, otherwise I wouldn't be asking here. Manuals, Bentley or not, are never 100% helpful, so I tend to trust the experience of my fellow MINI owners and their knowledge. But really, asses like you make me sorry to be a member of these forums where people come to share knowlwdge, and share our passion that is the MINI. If you don't have anything helpful to say, then shut up.

Oh, and FYI, I didn't post here, the mods moved my post here.

It isn't hard to change, but it seems a tight fit.

Squeeze and push in then spread the metal wires. Then, it seems like the bulb is too long to back out of the hole, but it will come out. Reverse to install.

that would be the issue with my cheerios friend, just a little effort instead of a lazy, "before i spend some effort on my own" post is all... simple

and to answer the actual question, yes, someone likely knows if it is easy or not. i would guess it could be done in 5 mins.

And once again with the attitude, why do you even bother to post if you have nothing helpful to contribute?

The reason I asked the question, and yes I probably should have mentioned this in my original post, is because when I did search I read that some people had issues removing the bulb, and again, because the Bentley is NOT the be all end all to everything about a MINI.

Now, move along and let someone else who's more helpful post to my question.

Thanks!

the reason people are having trouble is the tight fit. but remember, these assemblies are very similar to those used in mercedes, and some audi's i believe, so you may be able to find more info in some of their forums as far as tips.

maybe posting what your bently said as reference to what information is missing would be helpful to anyone with experience answering your question.

I bother to post so help you organize what exactly you are asking buddy, you should admit that your initial question wouldnt get you the information you really are looking for. If I ruffled your feathers, maybe youll think harder before starting a thread by saying "I have a bently, but..." i mean really, you must admit that's daft. I'll admit to coming at this strongly, and not in a constructive way.

look, i'm useful:http://www.mini2.com/forum/first-gen...-question.html
