Show Us Your Stripes

Each of the other Mini sub-forums have a "Show Us Your Stripes" thread. So with a few of us now having added various stripe configurations (Bonnet/Boot/Side/Roof/Bumper) to our Countryman...I thought we should start an official thread.

I'll start things off:

By request, a few shots of my S ALL4. I'd like to get a few more, with a more direct shot of the bonnet stripes, but weather and filth are conspiring against me.

I was looking at a True Blue at Baltimore MINI - had the white sport stripes (bonnet, boot, and flanks) that looked really nice. They had it as an add on for about $700. Supprisingly, my SO (who also does the finances) said "Not unreasonable." I talked to my MA - asked him if it was reasonable to pay for bonnet stripes in the Sport Package, delete them, and then be charged again to order the sport stripes. He saw my point, but I don't think he's going to negotiate. As an alternative, I talked to a local installer and they start at $350 for the install. I'm just going to have to bite the bullet on this one, close my eyes and check the box.

To be perfectly honest with you I don't like the stripes all that much. Black does not show up that well on True Blue and the pitch fork thing on the bonnet leaves me scratching my head “what the he11 we're they thinking". As soon as the new-ness wares off I think I will replace them with white stripes on either side of the bonnet hump like I had on my '05. On the inside there is a carbon fiber checkerboard pattern on the dash which I might replicate on the roof. What do you think?

Just got my Countryman back from the stripe intaller. Bought my viper stripes from Europe. Only paid $120 for full stripes, including delivery and $220 for the installation. The stripes have resulted in a lot more looks/points/comments.

I'm trying to make the decision on striping my Royal Grey Countryman or not. Can someone please post the picture of there's striped? I found one on the forum but, due to glare, you can't see them very well.

I'd swap the black stripes out for white ones all around, including the roof if you're into that. That's what I'm planning when I order my CM later this year (still undecided between True Blue and Pure Red).

I think they were thinking "We've got this big, wide stripe to fit on a curved hood with a lump in the middle - how the heck are we going to make it lay flat and look decent?" The first thing I thought was "fork", too. If you look at one in person, it's actually looks good.

Your CM looks good but I dont personal like the side stripes, it might had looked better with the aero package but that thing is alot of $, when and if you do replace them i would go with the viper strips the wider they are the better it looks but not to wide

They're generic to fit all models. They look a lot better with the All 4 logo in that front space.

Bull bar/ brush guard

Up north we call them brush guards and at first I was not going for that look but the lights I wanted are very hard to mount in the plastic and impossible to mount through the bumper so Chad at detroit tuned had one built as a prototype and along with a prototype trailer hitch , wiring harness and skid plate. I hope to be doing some rally crosses with this car- and maybe sweep for some pro rallys.
the lights are two rallys and 2 fogs and they really light up the world. None of my roads are lighted and we have lots of deer and lots of fog in the snow pack and some thick snowfall driving- I think the fogs will be excellent.
Glad you like the look- I love it!!

Here's some pics of mine - got the factory bonnet stripes and replaced the slim piece with a red stripe, and carried that over to the boot.
