Hello all, I am Woody I have a 2009 Mini Cooper S, I have had it about 2 years and just returned from a tour in Germany where I bought it. I was hoping someone here could help me understand which Navigation Disc I need to go from German Maps to US maps. I have the DVD upgraded system. Thanks for any help.
Welcome back to the States!! I just got back last July and I'm really glad to not pay €15 per plug, however, your choices for service in NC are really limited to Hendrick in Charlotte and Flow in Raleigh and Winston-Salem. Have you contacted MINI USA to get the warranty transferred to the US yet? Until you do, your MINI won't be covered but it isn't hard. I called the 866 number, spoke to someone and got the details on what paperwork they needed. I got their form via email but had to snail-mail everything back, which took about two weeks. After that, gravy. In any case, give the dealers a call about the discs and hope for the best. To be fair, I've been to both Flow Raleigh and Hendricks and don't have too much to complain about. Flow took care of my clutch, under warranty, but their communication isn't the best. Hopefully, it'll all work out for you.
BTW, I'm "that guy" who would drive 3 hours from the Netherlands to do runs with the crew from RAFB/H-berg through the Oden- and Swartzwalds. Since I've been back, I've been too busy with retiring, looking for a job and fixing up our house to get in any epic runs like this but the Blue Ridge Parkway Tour might be the trick.
Good luck and Cheers!!
