Don't know if this is posted anywhere, it probably is. Just curious on how many of you on here with mini coopers are guys/girls. I seem to get a lot of weird looks because im a guy that drives a mini HAHA.

Bought the Mini for my fiancee, but am seriously jealous!

You'll find that there are quite a few more guys than girls here(from the way it appears to me, atleast). But for an online community, there is a record number of girls here. Which could speak for the MINI being more feminine than other cars/subjects where online communities form. That being said, I find the girl car/guy car thing a bit odd anyway as there are few girls around who can see a car as something more than just a car. The people who will comment about MINIs being a girl car will generally be the first ones to say "Its just a car".

I don't mean anything by it. Nowadays anything that can be called a "Stereotype" is automatically seen as negative. I think its just a deep seated hatred of all things scientific or mathematic. I tend to get myself in trouble with stereotypes, too. My mind just works with statistics, percentages, etc. And it seems another word for statistic when applied to humans is stereotype.

 

Just add a little more grey to the goatee...

Male here. I haven't had anyone call my MINI a "chick car". The first reaction is usually that exhaust is rather loud. I drove a Miata for 15 years before switching to a MCS and got quite a few "chick car" comments about the Miata. I think most people see the MINI as a fun to drive car for guys and gals. I must confess though, I did give a guy at work a hard time for buying a justa

A lot of people at my school are unfamiliar with minis they usually drive cadillac's mustang's or Honda's they all look at me funny when they ask about my car and I tell them its turbo charged.
