Thoughts on wheels??

what's everyone think of these wheels? I'm thinking about putting these on my
2006 HB/W Metallic MCS.

Its a decision I have been going back and forth between. I have a 2011 Eclipse Grey/Black and am thinking of black...or possibly gun metal/grey. Either color, but then do I go Superturismo (what you show above) or go with the Ultraleggera?

Right now I am going with the Ultras I think, about the same cost, lighter, same construction method and really a cleaner look IMO. Now to decide what color.

Either way OZ makes well made wheels for the price (not the cheapest) so I think you wont go wrong. White looks good with your color MINI. So bite the bullet and just go for it. Mine will be ordered the day my tax return comes in

Thanks for the feedback!

I think matte black or black would look sweet on your car

OOn that note, did a search around and found something to better see it. Not the same roof color and looks like a 18" but better than the rendering by websites. And of course, being somewhat OCD, the superturismos are probably a BEOTCH to clean and they are white. All things to consider of course. In the end I'm sure you will be happy with them.

I am thinking matte black 17" Ultras are what I am choosing to go with. Just getting rid of the run flats alone is worth it.

While I agree with your color combo the OZ whites are a definite possibility, please consider the brake dust issue. It will be a full time job keeping them looking good. Are you willing to put that much effort into keeping them clean?

I am. Those would be my summer wheels and I would use the stock wheels plus snow tires for winter. My game plan is to buy new brakes that have minimal brake dust when I buy the rims.

this has to be one of the funniest replies I've read.

I'm OCD about keeping stuff clean too, so it should be interesting

The OZ WRCs are awesome wheels, I had considered them before I got my Konigs.

IMO, if you do do it. Also consider getting some Tire paint, and hitting the lettering on the tires with white.

Maybe I'm just a WRC junky, but I love this look.

I think they would look absolutely great on your BLU MINI.

What size are you going with?

I looked at those too, but didn't like the red writing. I went with white TD Pro Race 1.2s.

I like the WHITE on the laser blue. I am going with black Team Dynamic wheels on my BRG MCS this Spring.

I think the white wheels will look great. Get some low dust pads, keep plenty of wax on the wheels and clean, clean, clean. I love the look when the wheels are clean on my CR/W MCS, I'm a bit OCD myself!

I don't have any plans to lower it. It already has the sport suspension that is lowered and it rides/drives wonderfully I'm going with 17", which is what is currently on it, to keep the comfy ride. It hugs corners like a champ!

That's the plan! Nice to know I'm not the only one that's a bit OCD when it comes to stuff like that

Going with 17". It current has 17" on it now with the sport package and it drives/rides like a champ hugs corners and the road like no other.

Since these wheels are true white, I want to get some low break dust pads. Thoughts on what type I should go with???

Brakes

So, I've been doing some research on the EBC Red Stuff/Green Stuff brake pads and the Carbotechs. I'm seriously leaning more towards the green stuff as they have excellent reviews. I want a brake with VERY LOW brake dust (brake dust + white rims = Disaster) and great stopping distance. When I went to EBC's website, the green stuff brake pads were classed under being the best option for "hot hatches," which I'm assuming the MCS Hatchback is classed as....

Thoughts????

Thanks everyone!
