17" Tenzo Type M Version 1 Black with Red Lip

I have a black 09 r56 stock suspension & brakes. Looking to get some new wheels and some NON-run flat tires. I've seen the Tenzo Type M Version 1 Black with Red Lip on a red MK5 GTI which looked sick, but i never seen it on a MINI. I can't decide what I want but these wheels seem to catch my attention most. Any reviews of these wheels on MINI will be much appreciated!

I just got new wheels for my MINI and was considering the Tenzo Type M's myself, apparently they are really back ordered so I was going to order them and just wait until I put a bubble in one of my run flats and was forced to upgrade. I decided on the Breyton GTS-R Mini, I'm really happy with the look and even happier with the ride of the non-run flats.

I know this isn't exactly what you were looking for but I hope it helps.

Thanks! I would have to wait a week or so to get the tenzo M.. not too bad. I was also looking into H&R springs. Kinda dumb question, but im new to the whole wheel senor since i never had a car with them. Did you just removed them from the OEM wheels and install them on the new wheels or how does that work?

I had them pull them off the OEM wheels and it was 5 bucks each sensor to have them rebuilt and put onto the new wheels.

I run a set of Tenzo Cuzco V2 rims, 17". They're lighter than stock, the finish is nice, and they perform well. Put almost 40K on a set last year, never a problem.

I was going for the type m's aswell. They were back ordered beyond belief so I went with some motegi sp10s in 17. I've got H&R springs installed aswell.

What size Tires are you running? I was concerned about rubbing with the H&R springs. How is the ride with the springs installed, i have yet to decide if i want to go with coil-overs or springs. I figured springs would be better for a daily driver. What do you think?

We were running the stock 205/45/17 Bridgestone last year. This season we're going to try Kumho run flats stock size.

Sorry bud, didn't realized you asked me that until now haha. Im running with some cheap ventus 215/45's all around. The ride is pretty solid when its just me or me and my girl but when I have any passengers in the back I get mad rub. It's an 02 with 80k miles on the struts, about 40k on the shocks, so it's got some solid age, which makes me think the struts are going bad. It's not too bad though and with the solid ride and feel it gives me I don't mind the the downfalls.

Eh, they're not too bad, you just gatta hit the spots behind every spoke... and thats 10 a wheel... ugghhhhh

I ordered them in all Matte black too and they sent me those by mistake, I didn't have the time to get the ones I wanted so I threw these on, turned out way better than I expected and now I don't feel the need to spend more money blacking everything out

I really wanted to tenzo type-m's also, but at the time they were 60 days backordered. So, I was impatient and went with a very similar wheel --- MSR 045. I went with 18x8 with a 205/40 tire setup. I just installed H&R Springs and an Alta 19mm rear sway bar. Here is what my final setup looks like (just to give you an idea).

These wheels are IDENTICAL to the type-m wheels with the exception of the centers of the wheels around the lug holes. The shape of the spokes are EXACTLY the same. (Trust me on this, I did A LOT of comparing because I had my heart set on the Tenzos.) I'm really happy with these wheels. They are also about the same price.

Sorry, I haven't been back on the forums for some time now. I still haven't bought the wheels. Just running stock setup for now and decided to spend all my money on performance parts upgrades instead
