I have 2010 Mini with dealership installed driving lights, one bulb is shakes when on. I'd either like to tighten somehow, or put in brighter bulbs. They are in a black plastic housing. Also, they only come on when brights are on. I thought that was (is) illegal? Mini said that's how they roll....so I only use once in a great while. Had I known that, I probably would have passed on the install. See my gallery for pic of light. Thx, P.

That may be the norm for driving lights... I know FOG lights only operate with the low beams.

'Driving Lights' are extra high beams so the behavior is normal that they only come on with the highs. Fogs are the opposite. Only on with low beams.

 

pull the light lens off then swap the bulb.

Thay are driving lights and are considered high beams.

 

if like the GEN DL's look for a small screw on the bottom of the light, remove this screw and the front cap with the lens can be pulled off. Inside is the bulb.

And yes the proper way to wire the DL's is so they anly come on with the high/bright beam .... but this can easily be defeated.
