My name is Steve and I am a MINI Cooper modding maniac. I am almost done with my mods. But I can use your help to complete the task.

I want Lyle from Vinyl Styles to come out to the NYC area to complete the rest of my black out mods and install some new stripes. I recently ordered matte black head light rings, tail light rings and gas cap from Lyle and swapped those parts out myself. But I want him to come out to NYC from the San Francisco Bay area to finish off the exterior mods on my car.

Lyle will be coming out to the NYC area on April 16th and 17th. That is a Saturday and Sunday. So you have time to contact Lyle and let him know you want to participate in this event.

He does more than MINI's and it does not have to be black out parts. It can be vinyl graphics and other things too. Check out his web site for more info

So if you live in the NYC area meaning mid to north Jersey, southern Connecticut, lower NY state including the 5 boroughs, Long Island, Westchester, Rockland and Orange counties and are really interested, PM Lyle or call him or email him.

All orders have to be pre-paid 1 month prior to the event. You do that by contacting him. I am just the trip broker.

Here is your chance to get the chrome on your MINI moded by the best. The best part is you do not have to do the work yourself then run back to the post office or UPS/FedEx to return the cores.

After seeing your door handles, I ordered them, a gas cap, beltline and emblems from aesthetic creations. Only thing I will have left are the headlight and taillamp rings but if they are still not done by the time he come around, I am in.

i may be interested... i just am in lacrosse season so i dont know when i would be free... i do wanna do my belt line and some side scuttles and maybe headlight rings... i may be a late joiner if thats possible...

 

No problem. This will likely take place in late March. You are looking at drive time plus an hour or two for the install. So not a lot of time is needed to do this. Keep checking back here to check on our progress and to let me know if you have contacted Lyle and given him a deposit. You can PM me too.

 

I would be interested, I just bought some 3M CF di-noc and was going to do my boot handle, but If lyle is coming down, I would get that in addition to getting my tail light rings and head light rings gloss blacked out.

 

By the way, I saw what happened to your ride a year ago, I'm so sorry. How is everything now, back to its original state? Did you have to replace the JCW CF diffuser?? Its a shame that most people will never realize how much we care about our MINI's or the expensive attention to detail. I cannot imagine how angry you were... glad you're ok! Thanks for starting this up again.

 

Me and my MINI are all better now. The car has been repaired and is better than ever. The body shop did a great job with paint and repair but they need to do a better job putting the pieces back together and Prestige MINI needs to do a better job QA-ing the car before its returned to the customer. I had to bring it back quite a few times but in the end I am very happy with the repair.

The JCW rear CF diffuser was not damaged at all in the accident. They removed it from the old bumper cover and installed it on the new one.

I was indeed very angry. I put a lot of time energy and money into my car. And I hate it when people drive into it! But I am over it now. .

I responded on nemini. I'm a tentative yes. Unfortunately, I'm having some troubles with Violet so asking Lyle for work is going to depend on what happens with the car.

Right now I am looking for Laser Blue gauge overlays in the '09 and up 20-40-60 style. I'm not sure Lyle has this available yet, pinged him a few months ago about it but thats my interest for now.

The install weekend will most likely take place in April at my house in Nanuet, NY. I live just north of NYC in Rockland county near the Palisades mall just over the Tappan Zee bridge. And from New Jersey, I am about 10 minutes from where the Garden State Pkwy ends in NY.
