I have a 2007 Cooper S and can't seem to find a shop manual? Anyone know of a R56 shop manual?

There aren't any yet as far as I know.

 

I went onto the bentley manual site and it shows that its coming soon. I just left my email address and they will notify me when its available.

 

they have had that reply there since 2007 ... first year of the GEN2

I believe they (& Haynes) sold less than enuf units of the GEN 1 versions to support developing a GEN2.

Ive seen some cd roms on ebay for the first of the 2nd gens but non for the later models.

Last I talked directly to Bentley (mid november) about the manual I was told they are working on it but have NO scheduled date for finishing it. And I have been hearing that from them since early 2008.

Not sure what you mean by "first of the 2nd gens" but the second gen starts at 2007 with the R56, 2008 with the R55 (clubman) and 2009 with the R57 (vert). So the OP's car is one of the first 2nd gen cars available.

Also on ebay the Tech disks that I have seen and just ordered a week ago cover thru 2010 models. And that is about as new as you can get. The dealers have only had the ones for 2011's for since late November.

 

Can you post the eBay item number? For the past few years I've only seen TIS available in the 12/2007 release on eBay. The talk on the Internet was that BMW went to an online-only access at that time.
