New 2009 JCW Clubman owner

A number of years ago I sold my 2003 MCS due to my kids inability to stop growing. Try as I might, my daughter no longer fit behind the driver seat, even with her legs crossed Unfortunatley the lack of room in the back led me astray to the land of BMW for a short while (2006 E90 330i 6 speed). The car was a great car however it wasn't a MINI.

Last week I finalized a deal on a 2009 JCW Clubman I'm finally returning to the MINI platform and can't wait! The car is in LA right now and I hope to have it in the next week or so.

The old

The new

2009 Pepper White John Cooper Works Clubman
Black roof and mirror caps
Black leatherette
Premium package with black crown spoke wheels (no challenge wheels which is the only bummer)
Convenience Package
Sport suspension
Center armrest
Comfort access
Bluetooth and USB iPod adaptor
Cold weather package
Black bonnet stripes
Xenon Headlights
MINI HiFi sound system
CF hood scoop (plus the original PW one)
Tinted windows

It'll be a week or so before I get the car. I can't imagine what you all go through waiting for a new build because the past week or so has driven me nuts.

Congrats. I'm sure you'll love it. I too am returning to the MINI world after a 3 year hiatus. My former was a mildly modified 02 MCS. Loved that car. Also like you I am rejoining the MINI world with a JCW! Super, super stoked!

Probably be another 4 weeks till mine arrives. I ordered just before Thanksgiving

I believe so but it's all perspective. Shot you a PM.

Four week is optimistic. I ordered my R55 on the first of Nov and it will be January. 10 weeks is more realistic and I am on the east coast. They are slow getting out of Southhampton. If I could I would buy one that's on the ground already, I am really tried of waiting. Sorry, it's just been a long 6 weeks already.
My $.02 worth.

I didn't mean 4 wks total. My JCW is built and should be shipping soon. Should be about 4 weeks from now.

Welcome to the JCW Clubman! Looks like you found one of those hundred or so '09's that are floating around the U.S. Yours may even be more rare; most of the '09 JCW Clubmans seem to be Chili Red...

But no matter what the color, they're a hoot to drive, and actually have some rear seat room and cargo space! Enjoy!

Thanks Tim! I actually was looking at one nearly identical to yours but stumbled aross the PW one at the last minute and thought I'd give it a go. Can't wait to get delivery!

Pepper White is a good, low-maintenance color; it'll stay clean-looking for a long, long time, even with minimal care.

Yeah, waiting is tough, but it'll be worth it! These JCW MINI's go like a scalded cat! Are you having it shipped to you, or going down to LA and driving it back?

Having it shipped. I considered flying and driving and would do it in the Spring or Summer but considering the time of year it could be a miserable drive. Especially on performance summer RF tires.
