Where to buy anti rattle clip for R56 front calipers?

I was wondering if anyone could help me find the anti rattle clips for the brake pads in the r56 front calipers.

I swapped a remanufactured caliper set onto my r53, and since it looks like the clips come with the factory pads, I don't have them.

They are shown in #8, but they don't appear to have their own part number, it looks like they just come with the pad set.

Does anyone know where I could buy just the anti rattle clips?
Or if anyone has a spare set pm me.
Thanks.

They don't sell them separately AFAIK.

They do come with every new set of pads I've seen. Just ask your local MINI mechanic for a pull off set.

The dealer can get you almost anything. See your parts department.

I went to one dealer last week with the same question and was told I can't get them without buying the pads. Next I am going to try some of the better, more cooperative dealers in the area. If I find a way to get them, I'll let you know. Please do the same for me. I could use an extra set, too. I have to believe that some dealers have a pile of these lying around.

Unfortunately not my EBC's
Asking the local mini mechanic is a good idea, I'll try that.

The bottom line is that they are setting themselves up for a potential lawsuit by giving you anything (new or used). Those clips should have separate p/n's if they are salable parts. I believe they are sold as an inseparable assy's with new pads. If they pull those off of a used set or what have you and hand them over to a customer with good intentions....that customer could turn around and potentially sue them for something I'm sure. Any sort of braking issue that happens in an accident - so on and so forth. Though all intentions are good...I think dealerships are very, very sensitive to this unless you are very close to them.

I am just stating this because it is the unfortunate "sue happy" world that we live in today.

I am thinking the same thing.

Mflossin is right. BMW probably controls the parts so that they're only sold as a set so they can't mess up a brake pad shipment & service appointment.

What sucks is that if you look for used pads they're not going to have those inserts...

The closest dealer to me is not very good. It's a BMW dealer with a MINI department. One time I went in to buy brake parts and they told me I should not be doing brake work myself, I should be bringing it in to them to do the work (at one-fifty-$omething per hour, of course).

I wish I lived in northern New Jersey again.

I can only find it with the pad set on this site.
If anyone can find it on this site please post a link to it.

I'll look around the shop tomorrow and see if I can find some.

Westchester MINI is not close to you? Come over the TZ and go to Prestige. Its not that far.

Yes, Westchester MINI is closest to me. I have not had many good experiences there.

Prestige and Morristown are the two dealers that I have found to be far more helpful.
