Downpipe with 200 cpsi

Hi Mini Fan's

1 week ago, I let a specialist install a new downpipe with a 200cpsi catalytic converter to my factory works.

During the weekend and several kilometers after, I connected my Bavarian Technics OBD Tool to have a look if there are some fault codes.

I've found this 4 codes:

2A77:
DME: Oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter, ageing
Error will cause a warning light
Error is not currently present
Test conditions have been completed
Timeout

2A7F:
DME: Oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter, electric
Error will cause a warning light
Error is currently present
Test conditions have been completed
Timeout

2A74:
DME: Oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter, ageing
Error will cause a warning light
Error is not currently present
Test conditions have been completed
Short circuit or signal interruption

2A56:
DME: Oxygen-sensor heater behind catalytic converter, function
Error will cause a warning light
Error is currently present
Test conditions have been completed

After that I've deleted them and am started to a test drive of arround 100 kilometers.

I've checked again if there are some new codes are stored inside and see again 2 of them:

2A56:
DME: Oxygen-sensor heater behind catalytic converter, function
Error will cause a warning light
Error is currently present
Test conditions have been completed

2A7F:
DME: Oxygen sensor behind catalytic converter, electric
Error will cause a warning light
Error is not currently present
Test conditions have been completed
Timeout

Unfortunately I can't imagine the problem, because there is no lamp active in the tachometer. I've allready heard that there can be a problem with the lambda sensor, but these includes a light in the tachometer?! Just for info, it is a high quality catalytic converter, not a cheap one.

Maybe someone have an idea what these fault codes wanna tell me???

(sorry englisch is not my native language, hope u understand it anyway)

Thanks in advance!!

I'm sorry to not even help but there is almost no hope for a catted downpipe that will make more power than the OEM issued one. The ECU is too sensitive.

You change the downpipe, catted or not....you're going to get codes. Plain and simple

If you have an 07 and an 08, the only DP you can run without getting a CEL would be Exhaust Depot's

Hi,

Thanks for all replys!

The DP is manufactured by a renowned little company here in switzerland. (so my JCW is EU) They use the best materials and the cat. converter has a special coating.

So normally the car didn't show something in the tachometer...just for info: My JCW is programmed by MTH.

@tintman718

I've thought the same. Especially "Short circuit or signal interruption" are an indication for connections problems.

Hope they can fix it fast
