My wife has a 02 mini cooper its has some strange start up issue its almost like a bad battery or a cold start but this thing sits in a garage. I had the battery, starter, and alternator all checked they all work properly so i replaced plugs and wires. The next issue is when your driving with the A/C on and the cooling fan kicks on it almost kills the car I'm at a lose any help? Please any help would be very much appreciated. Did this car have the software upgraded? The '02 model had a couple of issues with cold starts and rough idles. These issues were put to rest with a software update. If you had the MINI dealer update the software, I would seriously consider testing/replacing the battery.

 

I do not know if it had the software update we bought this car used. Is there any way to find out or take to the dealer?
