Buying a Shop Manual

This is really the only thing I have been able to find for a 2010 Cooper:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mini-...item3a5dcef5eb

Does anyone know about this product or have any other better suggestions?

Thanks,

A note for you is that one was published in 2007 so it is NOT current.

It is rather difficult to get the current ones but keep looking on ebay as that is the best place to find them. Searching for BMW TIS is probably the best search to use.

The on there item you will wan to look for is the BMW ETK this is the electronics parts catalog. It is what the parts department uses to find the correct parts for you car. Last issue date on this is AUgust 2010 but those will probably not be available until spring. It seems to take about 6 months from date of publish to show up on ebay

On a repair manual supposedly Bentley is working on one but last time I called them on int in July they said it would be at least 6 months.

I just ordered this one: http://cgi.ebay.com/BMW-SERVICE-SYST...item2c5745ade0

Bentley told me they are so far out that they are not even quoting a possible release date.

I will report as to how useful the above proves to be for a 2010. It's not a big investment and hopefully will be better than what I have now (i.e. nothing).

many things will be the same as reallyt eh car has not chagned all that much except for some wiring changes. The basics behind the body, frame, suspension and engine are the same so most of it should be of some sort of help.

Well,

I received the 7 CD set from the UK vendor noted above. These are obviously pirated copies, not OEM discs, but may be OK.

People who are familiar with this BMW information system:

Am I correct that the idea is to install ALL these discs on your computer and you then are able to navigate through the WHOLE sysytem to find what you want?

Or, is there some way to find just the Mini info I am interested in on the individual discs?

Thanks,

Seems Bimmernav has a listing to buy this one.

It turns out that the CD labled "BMW TIS" is BLANK. Is this the one that has all the setup info to make all this info able to be installed and accessed?

Thanks,
