Looks great! I also just plasti-dipped my chrome. I didn't do a great job and it needs a touchup, but I definitely prefer the black. Looks a little meaner and a little more subtle. Very nice!

Thanks Danny. I was looking to take away a little of the "cuteness", and this really helps. Probably one of the cheaper mods we can do

Looks good! Did you just brush it on the grill or did you apply it some other way? Did you have to do anything to prepare the surface?

Thanks. I used the the spray, got it at Home Depot. I removed the main grill (upper), which made spraying that easy. The lower grill was shot on the car (masked). You need to clean the grill well, I used windex. I gave them both four light coats.

You have an S, did you buy a chrome center grill to replace the body color one or did MINI eventually offer one from the factory?

That is the way it came from Mini. Not sure what year had body color grill.
