iPod touch issues

When I connect my second gen iPod touch to my 2010 mini it will play about a second of music and then nothing. Sometimes the music will play again after a few more seconds and if it does then the menus will be really slow and the title of the song will not show up on the screen.
Other times the iPod will disconnect and I will have to unplug and replug it in. Sometimes this works and sometime it doesn't. Sometimes it will take upwards of ten minutes to get the iPod working like it used to. Very frustrating.

I did a search and found a couple of other people that have had similar issues but none were resolved. So if anyone could help or point me in the right direction before I have to go to the dealer.

I'm having the same exact issues. Everything was working fine up until I updated my iTouch to iOS 4... now my radio and the iTouch aren't playing nice!

This is definitely an Apple software problem... I'm also having issues with various apps crashing or not loading at all... this sucks! I regret updating to iOS 4.

Funny thing happened the other day. I decided to wait it out and ask the dealer when I take my mini in for my first scheduled maintenance that is coming up. So I was just using a brand new aux cable and just doing everything off the Ipod. About half way home I noticed the music became really tinny. Now I have the HK system so this is not normal. I wiggled the cable where it connects to the little box behind the cup holders and it came in nice and clear. The Ipod is working a little better as well. So now I'm wondering if I have a loose connection somewhere.

Mine just started doing this too...after the update. I was on a week long biz trip and I encountered this twice. I turned the iPod off and back on and it played perfectly. I am noticing that it also now takes longer to sync up with the Mini and display artists or albums on the Mini screen too.
