Get the powerflex bushings for both top and bottom....cheaper and more effective.

+1 on this. Recently had top , bottom and gearbox , powerflex sent to me from Way. Good bit of vibration untill the bushings sit in some but very nice change smoothness of shifting.

I have a full set of polyurethane engine bushings, and after 35,000 miles they are loosing their effectiveness. Interior vibrations are nearly gone and shifting/throttle response is poorer. (than it was after installation, yet it's still better than stock.) I want solid mounts.

Were you thinking of an add-on like TSW (IMO a rattler and shaker? Take a look at the VIP engine stabilizer, IMO is far superior to other dampers I've seen and or experienced.
see it here www.vipcustomparts.com

Go for the powerflex bushings. http://www.outmotoring.com/mini-coop..._bushings.html

Over 25k miles with no problems. If they do go "soft" they are easier and cheaper to replace.

The VIP product is only applicable to the 11/03 and after builds. It is used in addition to the later "can" type of engine mount (which did away with the stabilizer that the earlier cars had)

If you don't like the TSW, definetly go for the Powerflex bushings. We have a couple sets for the Engine that will do the whole engine.

If you want something harder we offer a race set of inserts for the engine and gearbox.

And if you want harder than that we offer the BSH lower mount.

Way, you might want to be a bit more specific on the model years for your different sets. The earlier years 5 piece are good for up to the 11/03 builds (04 model yr).

With the BSH lower, trying to stiffen the top up with an add on like the VIP or TSW dampers isnt realy going to make "MUCH" differance for a DD. If you really want to stiffen the top up more, I would recomend the TSW upper engine mount, not the engine damper. it is a solid urithane mount that is a total replacement for the "can" mount on '05+ cars and they have a version for the '02-'04 style. It is now avalible through WAY, check it out on his site or give him a call, he will set you straight.
