WMW or RMW? RMW is Jan but I'm not sure he has a remote tune.

I saw this too. Really depends on how good the person doing the mapping, that's going to be the main difference between these remote tuning options I imagine.

I believe both Jan and Wayland have remote tuning services, and the quality of those should be high, as both have amazing track records. However, to get the amount of customization that you get with an on-site tune will take you going to a Dyno local to you and getting data for them to work with.

Thanks all for the reply... and "putttn" I'm talking about Way Motor Works. I know Jan has remote tuning, but I'm looking at what else is out there.

Nevertheless, I wanted to see if anyone on here actually tried this thing.

regards,

bump. wondering if anyone has gotten this tune recently and also your impressions. curious to know how it performs and stacks up against others, I like the idea of having multiple maps available on my computer and also being able to request updated tunes with my new mods and not having to pay for dyno time everytime

Jan initially tuned my car in person a couple of years ago. Most recently, Eric over at Helix13 upgraded the cam and larger injectors. Eric did a remote tune with Jan and everything went great.

It is vert hard to compare gains...dyno's simPly varry soo much...some read high, some low...
I agree 100% it is all about the skill of the tuner. Tuning is a bit of a black art, but the tuner need not be there..the remote tune option on a dyno and a tool should work great...the same info/files are modified, then uploaded, tested, and then readjusted. A remote tune my take a couPle minutes longer, but since it uses the same data, should be just as good. Now a tune done with times runs on the street or a quick/canned tuned is a different story.
