  1. Press and hold the trip odometer button
  2. Insert car key and turn it to the first position
  3. Watch for the work "RESET" to appear on the odometer indicator
  4. Release the trip odometer button, then press & hold it again
  5. Wait for the "RESET" message to flash
  6. Release the button, and then press and release, once only
  7. The Service Interval is now reset to 10,000 miles
Comment copied from "Apple", a member here on NAM. You can thank him . I was too lazy to remember all the steps, so I did a search here.

Push-hold Trip Button TB
Turn key to position 1
Continue to hold TB, the number 15A will show to the left of the mileage
Release TB for 3 sec and then hold TB again
In about 5-8 sec RST will show in the left corner
Release and then hold again

That's a quick lesson on taking your MINI to any service garage. If they do not even know how to reset the oil service indicator, they will know even less about the rest of the vehicle. Make sure you go to a place that specializes in European cars, preferably BMW and MINI. They will know alot more about what to do when you need repairs in the future.

2009 Cooper S stock

your 2009 is a GEN2 .. there are differences from a GEN1

Mellow Yellow and APPLE are mostly correct with one erratta

don't be surprised to see a different interval then 10,000

different numbers pop up depending on if the next interval is OIL or SERVICE
