Revolution Mini's Works sneak peak of new performance parts
Ian Stewart and I spent the last few days at Sebring testing out some new parts. The old record was smashed . We gathered quite a bit of interesting data. Wayne from Group 4 was there with some of his high tech aero parts that were amazing. I can honestly say these are some of the best designed aero parts out there. We will be testing some more parts here shortly. Just wanted to thank everyone involved in the fun
Definitely enjoyable, congrats on the successful testing.
that was stock intercooler and NO METHANOL
it was almost 100deg outside and the track temps were probably 120-130 deg F
Next time we go back we will have the new intercooler on the car and a few other parts on the car..............My guess is a new TTA record but who is counting?
did I mention we are STILL running stock R53 brakes?
I heard it was unpossible to do this? I guess we better not tell Ian
Yeah, The ATE Superblue finally found it's limit in those brakes. The pedal was starting to get sponge like. Time for the Expensive Castrol fluid.
CFMINI - I'm no longer running the A6's like last year, The new rules changes make them to much of a points hit. This was on the R6's which are a little over a second slower. Both Jan and I were estatic that the car picked up the time it did running in 100 degree heat on the stock intercooler with no water/alcohol going into the car. And making the TTA Power/weight numbers.
I remember driving home from my tune in KY last year when we went to pass a line of trucks, I downshifted to 4th and couldn't believe my newfound power, only to realize after the maneuver that the A/C was still on. I was blown away!
And my gut tells me you've found much more power on Ian's car than you did with mine.
