Drat!...The GPS tracker doesn't seem to be working. I'll work on it along the way and see if I can get it back on-line. We should be hitting the road in about 15 minutes.

7 hours on the road and not a single beacon received Will check tomorrow.

 

We know where Ed is. He's between here and there. Going as fast as slow as he can. Or is slow fast.

 

So he got the "RUNS.

 

Does he have a smartphone or iPad? It takes only 10 seconds to shoot a position report from a pitstop. Or he goes to cape pink non-stop and has a lavatory in his MINI?

Good morning Cast and Crew from Rocky Mount,NC. Been taking it slow on this trip due to a severe spinal issue that recently was diagnosed and has to be taken care of when we return. Our first leg of the journey in the past has normally put us into South Carolina on the first evening, so we're obviously on a much slower trek this time with a lot of additional stops to get out from behind the wheel and do a little walking. Updates to follow as we progress towards the sunny south.....

Well, I could as I brought along my digital camera, but Rte 95 isn't really all that exciting as far as scenic beauty is concerned. Once I get down to my son's house in Cape Coral I'll have lots of pictures to pass along to the Cast & Crew.

Tonight we're staying in a little town called Brunswick which is about 40 miles north of the Florida/Georgia border. We have about a +6 hour ride tomorrow and we'll be in Cape Coral, so that will be the end of the driving for awhile...my back will be happy about that.

On our previous trip down to my Son's house I believe we only saw about 3 MINIs on the way down, this time we've seen close to a dozen so far...still not as many as I would have expected. When we were down in Cape Coral the last time we came upon a new MINI dealer that had recently open up his store earlier in the year in Ft. Myers. We'll probably stop by there again and see if there is any interesting MINI gatherings happening down there.

More updates as time permits...

 

Had some breakfast in Brunswick, GA and started the final leg of the journey to Cape Coral. We got in around 3:30PM and unpacked the car....now for 4 weeks of vacation starting right now! Wishing all our Drive-N-Eat crew a good gathering at the Jackson outlet mall...hoist a cool soda and a few corn fritters for Dorothy and I. Pictures to follow....
