R52 Passenger Side Stuck

Passenger Side Stuck
When I try to open the top, the driver side starts the sunroof retract mode, but the passenger side does not. What would be the likely culprits. I am pretty capable of fixing myself, I just would like to know where to start. Thanks. 2005 MCS Cabrio 50k miles
By the way I just shelled out half on a new top not less than 3 months ago at the dealer because the rear window shattered on it's own. They claim this failure not likely due to installing a new top. Thoughts?
