Tear in driver leatherette seat...will warranty cover?

My 2007 R56 cooper has a tear in the driver seat on the side. It looks like the repeated compression of the seat while getting in tore it on a crease. My question is.... will mini fix this since I am still under warranty? Its only 3 years old with 40k miles. Thanks

It might depend on the dealer. Mini of St. Louis repaired (actually, replaced the whole cover) a tear in my MINI's seat under warranty.

If you are still under Warranty I see no reason why the Dealer wouldn't replace it.

Let us know!!

Probably depends on your dealer.

I just bought a preowned Mini still under original warranty, had a small tear in the passenger cloth seats and they will be replacing it under warranty.

Thanks for the support!, I will keep you all up to date on the outcomes. BTW I got a trade in quote the other day for only $13000 for my Mini. I am very disappointed that it hasn't held its value very well.

A car's retail value and what a dealer offers in trade can be dramatically different. Try valuing your car at edmunds or kbb.com.

it has nothing to do with the value of your MINI. you were low-balled.

they replaced the leather-ette seat cover on my 2004 mini right before it went out of warranty. But 23,000 miles later I've noticed more some cracking. Need to find a cover to try and preserve it...
