no holes license plate bracket

Does anyone know if the no holes license plate bracket is legal in Hawaii. Thinking about dropping my car an inch and I might need recon. I dont feel like drilling holes in my front bumper. Thanks

Here is the Hawaii law on that: Section 249-7(b) of the Hawaii Revised Statutes http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrs200..._0249-0007.HTM

It says that it has to be "at a location provided by the manufacturer" so I would say no.

For lowering one inch

Don't bother with recon, it's not really necessary. Certainly you can do it but few MINIs get stopped.

For being slammed then recon would be wise. Not really comfortable for daily street driving though.

For front license plate use the tow hook

Many other companies make the plate holder for the tow hook.
