R50/53 Tool Kit Information 2006 MCS
Tool Kit Information 2006 MCS
I recently bought a used 2006 MCS R53 and was a little frustrated by the lack of complete information about the tool kit location, and usage. I found it all and it seems unmolested and complete. I'm not sure about other years or models, but this is what I have:
The jack and lug wrench in a bag.

Inside the bag is the jack and lug wrench. Scary looking stuff... emergency only.

The remaining tools are in a black Styrofoam box located in the trunk under the carpeting next to the battery. It's pulled up a bit in the photo below (next to the ground post side of the battery).

Inside is the towing eye, a hook for pulling the hub cap off, an Allen wrench (Z shaped hex key) for manually closing the moon roof, a double ended screwdriver and and open end wrench.

And finally here is the wire loop thing next to the hub cap. You could bend a hook on the end of a coat hanger in a pinch. You put the hook thru any one of the holes in the hub cap and pull. The hub cap is just snapped in place.

I hope this helps another newbie in trying to figure out if they have everything and where to look.

Fits well if hooked between the metal u behind the seat and one at the rear towards the hatch,I hook mine there and it leaves just the right amount of space for my little compressor.Run flats no more and Slime sealant in the right hand side compartment.
