ASA AR1's in 18x8... What offset?

Hey guys, I am looking to see if I can fit the ASA AR1's on my 09 MCS in 18" size. They have three offsets: 32, 35, 40. What do you recommend? Also, I will be getting the JCW Brake upgrade soon so I want to make sure they clear those calipers. I do not want to use spacers ( I will find other wheels if necessary).

Thanks!

Id get the 32 personally. You shouldnt have any issues clearing the brakes on 18s, Id be more worried about clearing the front struts with that width and the higher offsets. The 32 should clear OK, but not by too much.

Thanks for your reply... I forgot to mention that I am also having put on the JCW Suspension, so there will be a slight drop from that...

FWIW, I had a set of brand new ASA rims, and they had/have issues. Even after perfect Road Force balancing on a Hunter 9000, when put onto the car had wicked vibration issues.

At first I thought it was an isolated incident with the rims I had, but I spoke with another MINI owner who has the AR1's, also brand new and he had the same problem.......

ASA AR1s here with not even close to a shimmy on the highway. Been up to 80 so far and smooth sailing.

The 17s clear my Big Brake kit.

How many miles are on the wheels?

What are the wheel run-out numbers like?

Did you get the tires road force balanced? If so what were your final RF numbers?

37mm would result in identical backspacing to the factory S-lites. Choose the 35mm offset to get super flush, or the 40mm offset to not rub on the arches.

I thought they discontinued the AR1s in 18s for the MINI. Are they available now?

+1 I have been trying to find a set of 18" AR1's in black with the polished lip and was also informed that they no longer make the 4-100 in 18".

BTW, I had AR1's on my '04MCS and never had a wheel balance issue. They were great wheels!
