Will R105 fit over factory JCW calipers?

I want these wheels. Someone local to me has a set. I called my local dealer and the parts guy said they wont fit my car. I know the Factory JCW calipers are larger than the calipers that come w/ the JCW brake kit. I know that its not only the diameter but the offset and depth of the rim that can be the issue. I also know that the dealer does not always the give the correct information. Can anyone confirm/deny, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that these wheels will/wont fit my car. Spacers maybe? drawbacks of that?

i can't say for sure, i know wheels like the GP wheels would fit over the 09 JCW Factory brakes with a 5mm spacer, that kinda spacer wouldn't do anything bad to your car long or short term.

The R105s are JCW 18s but i'm pretty sure they wouldn't fit without a spacer... how much i'm honestly not sure... why don't you ask the guy who has them in your area if you can test fit one of the wheels over your brakes... that'll be the easiest and surest way to find out if they will fit.

No they don't clear you'll need a spacer.

So a 5mm spacer will do it? Should I get longer lug bolts also? Are there any drawbacks or dangers to using spacers?

Someone on MINI2 says 3mm spacers are sufficient for R105's: http://www.mini2.com/forum/wheels-ty...ake-where.html

You should get longer bolts for 5mm spacers. The stock bolts will work with 3mm spacers.
