i'm going to wait until it is warm enough to do it outside so I don't have to clean my garage yet...

 

I have a big clean garage if you need a place to do it sooner.

 

it's not something that has to be done. Just want to see if it will eliminate the yoyo effect of the supercharger BPV

 

Apparently the CEL came on today. Does someone local have a scanner or do I have to just take it to autozone and have them do it?

knock on wood I have not had teh CEL pop up. Girlfriend's came on but it is a GM and she has a realative at the local dealer. I would think Autozone Oreilly's or Advanced can help. Out of the three in our area I would go by O'reilly, they seem to be a little more helpful plus I will never buy any functional part from autozone again.

 

It went off by itself. I'll get it scanned if it happens again. It came on when my wife revved pretty high in first gear. I dont know if thats a way to prevent damage or what. Its like it went into limp mode, but she turned the car off and back on again and it was fine. I'll have to do some research because I wouldnt think it should do that unless you bounced it off the limiter which she didnt.

 

even if you bounce it off the rev limitter it shouldn't do that, that's what the rev limitter is for. how many miles you have on it? I have heard of gen 2's having carbon build up issue..just read about it this morning. I'll try to find the post

although it says nothing about the CEL coming on...
