is there any place i could stay for the event what has availability or any one have an extra room for me and my girl friend?

 

I've got space for an extra tent. I"ll be at Fontana Campground.

Try the Deals Gap Motorcycle Resort. They are right at the dragon and about 15 min from Fontana Village. I was late booking and was able to find a room there last week.

Just as an FYI - they aren't open right now, so you have to leave a message. They called me back the following day and took my reservation.

 

We are staying in Robbinsville at the Phillips Motel.
I made my reservations on Sunday and they still had rooms.
I couldn't find anything closer to Fontana Village.

22 miles is what I was told by the reservation peeps at Fontana Village.
They told me that the next closest place, after Robbinsville,was Bryson City, about 35 miles.
Since I found a place at Robbinsville, I didn't look any further.

Just a friendly suggestion FYI.
I understand that you have already put some time into this, but if you are really serious about going to MOTD, it would probably be a good idea to jump on finding reservations ASAP.
The VW New Beetle club will be there the same weekend, and they will be based in Bryson City.
There aren't nearly as many of them, but I hear that Bryson City is booking up pretty fast with Bugs.

I should have some extra room, might have to use a sleeping bag on the floor though. I have a house on 28 not too far from Fontana.

 

Give the Tuskegee motel, they are about 15 spirited minutes from Fontana. Check the MOTD page to find their number and see if they have any openings.

 

OK guys i found a place to stay .... i just have to do some special favors for this guy and he said i can stay there ....not sure what they are yet , but hes cool he drives a Mini

 

FYI...The Nantahala Village still has rooms available too.

 

I know, I know, I know....This is super early for anyone to find out that he/she/they won't be able to make it to Motd 2012 but don't lose your 75 dollar deposit. I will gladly take your room IN THE LODGE beginning May 2nd 2012. Will somebody step to the front...Thanks PM me!!!
