Are you running three cars again this year, or 2?

So are both cars running full RMW built motors now, nice to see them hanging out with the Civics, what spec are they allowed ?

Daytona Test

Day one . . . 6th fastest. Pretty good for Daytona where aerodynamics are improtant and the Mini is lacking.

We are pleased. More to come . . .

Kind of like throwing a brick into the wind..compared to other aero dynamic manufactured vehicles.

Does everyone hold back Randy in testing so not to show there hand before the race or is everyone flat out?

Good luck to everyone tomorrow.

Hold back but then again if I was in the seat I would find it hard

So does that mean everyone holds back

Those Civics are a tough trio thats for sure.

It's easy to hold back when you don't have nitrous buttons in the car

as
for civics they are muchore
aero and high reving which is a
big advantage at Daytona

Day two

Kind of a waste today. We woke up to snow on the rental cars. It is cold and damp! The early sessions were 'rained out' as there was ice on the track.

We took the opportunity to make some radical setup changes and to update some electronics. The 197 went out for the afternoon sessions just for seat time for Sara and VJ. The 196 stayed in the garage for the modifications.

Speeds are picking up for everyone. It will be interesting tomorrow. We plan on running full sessions tomorrow weather permitting.

More later . . . News that is !!

Randy

Snow in Daytona......glad I didn't come out

Its funny I scanned for 2.10s saw the Civics and kept scrooling down and thought wow they must gone 2.09s so went back up looking for you.

Oh well single digits for tomorrow if the weather holds out for you.

Weather should be much better tomorrow. It's going to be VERY cold but the sun will be on the track to make the track temps much better. It was rainy down here in sebring all day so I imagine it was rainy or overcast at best in Daytona.
Randy, How did those new Mazdaspeed 3's go?

Mazda is backing that effort. They are either sandbagging or they haven't got em quite up to pace yet.
