New Astro Black 07 S owner

I've been a member here for awhile. Had a Red 05 S that I sold a few years back because I needed a truck. The wife wanted another one, so we just picked up a black 07 S and love it! Took a few snapshots this weekend.

I like the brighter colors myself, but she wanted something that wasn't flashy this time, but still had all the bells and whistles.

We should be adding window tint, and a Shrader rear seat delete kit very shortly, but that will probably be about it for now.

The turbo is definitely a little quicker than the older supercharged version. I forgot how much fun it was to own a Mini.

Make her wash it and keep it clean. She will change her mind about wanting the showroom color black (even though yours is not true black and not quite as hard (I mean imposable) to keep clean). Looks good and I love beige interior with a dark colored car.

I concur....after owning 3 black cars in a row, I've sworn I'll never get black again! (unless I can afford to hire someone to detail it for me on a daily basis..)

Yea, washing it I'm not looking forward to. At least it's small... I can almost stand in one place and wash the entire car. Ha!

Thanks for the interior pics! After seeing the Tuscan Beige on your MINI, it's much nicer than how it appears on the MINI USA website. What color are the Interior Surface pieces?

Looks very nice. Same interior as mine (minus the English Oak). Came with the Cocomats too. Drives a lot better than the truck, does it?

Slightly off topic but these pics have got me interested in Tuscan Beige....

What color carpet comes with the beige interior?

Hoping it's black...

While they are small, washing is still a job, but they nare so neat looking when they are clean it's worth the effort. Love the interior color, rich looking.

That's a stunner, and the beige looks fantastic with the black. My previous car (VW GTI VR6) was black inside and out - rather monochromatic, really, and while I wanted the Red Lounge interior on my MINI, I ended up buying a car from inventory, and all they had was black/grey. No big deal, since I saved $2K in the process. But at least the bodywork is BRG/White, with no black!

On a related note, my "pet" car is a '78 MG Midget, and it was also black on black. I finally got around to replacing the interior this past summer, and chose a brown called "Autumn Leaf" that also works very well with the black:

So yes, I know how nice black and brown can look!

Cheers,

Spridget

It's got painted black trim, and then the beige dash and door panel trim to match the seats.

Actually it looks like Piano Black trim and Cream White Color Line (lower dash & armrests). Not sure why MINI doesn't offer Tuscan Beige Color Line since the Cream White Color Line looks just a tad off to me.

Also don't understand why MINI dosn't offer Tuscan Beige in Lounge?

Thanks. That's it exactly. Piano Black and Cream White.
