GPS mount

Happy New Year!

Yesterday I bought a Tom Tom GPS. I'm looking for a mount to put in my mini, I know Go Mini Go sells one, and I have seen a few threads on this topic but I can't find it. Does anyone have where I can find the thread. Thanks for your help.

Jorge - I think it was Shannon that actually made her own and it looked great. Mounted to the tach if I recall correctly. PM me if you would like her contacts.

Also, I think Craven makes a mount that for the tach. on the R56 with various adapters. They are a MINI5280 supported in the newsletter.

At least I think it is their mount that has various adapters, phones, gps, gauges. etc.

Hi Jorge,

I installed this one with the Tom-Tom 140:
http://www.gominigo.com/R55-R56-R57-GPS-Mounts.html

I picked the 140 because of its great reviews, small size and small price. I put the Tom-Tom just to the left of the tac. Its out of the way and reasonably easy to use. It can be a reach to put in an address. I hardwired it over to the fuse box, running the wires behind the dash. Used a special fuse adapter that has a wire already on it to soldered that do a car light socket. That way, I can just plug in the Tom-Tom cig-lighter-power adapter right into it. It was a pain to find a ground. I finally used the screw on the right side of the glove box. Open the glove box and look on the far right (not in the storage area - far right) and you will find the screw for ground. Put it all up under the dash secured by rubber bands. Badda Bing.

Best of luck. Michael.

for the gominigo mount. I installed it in my JCW about a month ago. Its not perfect but it works. I still have the TomTom plugged into the cig lighter but I will hardwire it one of these days. I have had the parts to do the hardwire for 9 months now.

Thank you for the GPS input on the mounts. I like proclipusa, it looks very simple.
