Rear End Collision in Detroit
My 2004 Mini Cooper S was rear-ended last night (New Year's Eve) by a teenager from Deliverance in a 1993 Honda Civic. I was stopped, turning left A BLOCK AWAY FROM MY HOUSE. Damage to entire rear including hatch and muffler (and possibly the brakes I JUST had done a week ago). Police also noticed slight "bend" in left rear wheel. Now then, where to go...dealer? Any recco for an auto body shop in the Detroit/royal Oak area? Want to get it right the first time if I possibly can. Thanks all!
Looks pretty minor. Basically impossible to do any damage to the brakes from a rear end impact. Also, since it looks like a straight rear end hit, it would be hard to bend a wheel. That's more than likely from a good pot hole hit or the like. The boot is a pretty easy fix. The rear bumper may need a reinforcement and absorber, but the bumper is a given. The exhaust may be repairable, it's hard to tell from the pic.
Doesn't look too bad. As for a shop, ask friends for experiences. Good luck!

Autometrics have taken care of my Baby on two different rear end collisions with excellent results
