Can a dent be removed?

Sorry if this post sounds mean but I'm just boiling because it's someone did it on purpose. Some ^!#$&% decided to hit my car with something big. There is a huge dent in the very far lower right corner of the left barn door. I opened it and looked at it. I was dismayed to find that it's welded together as one unit. Does anyone know how to get that fixed? A shopping cart simply rolling across the parking lot wouldn't be able to hit it that hard so someone hit it on purpose.

I dunno why people have to be such scum if they don't like a brand/model of car. Leave us alone! I don't smash windows on Hummers even though I think they're a danger to other drivers because a lot of owners can't control them. Some people need to be on the receiving end of their ugly behavior for once. Sorry if I'm ranting excessively. I've had this car less than a year and it's already been vandalized.

beasleyboy, a couple of year ago I bought a "do it yourself" kit and it worked great on my last vehicle after a hail storm (cannot remember the name of the kit, but it was something like "King" something). Also, depending where are you located, several repairs shop can do something call "paintless dent repair" for bigger damage (I just google it and found 10 shops around the area I live).

Here is a link that expolain the process: http://editorial.autos.msn.com/artic...umentid=434597

Good luck with the repairs and I feel your pain, some people does not have any respect for other people property

The thing ggonzale is trying to remember is Dent King or Magic, i would take to to someone that does PDR, let them look at it and will be able to tell you if they can get it out, these guys are very good and you should be satisfied both in the appearence and no so much impact on your wallet..

Im with you why cant people respect anothers property..

Beasley,

Check these guys out. I'm sure they have a location in your area. It should be less than $100.

^^^^^^Witnessed the Orlando Dent Wizard at work during a MINI Meet.

It was truely amazing to see him quickly perform perfect restorations of dented panels.

1-800-336-8949 should also lead you to your local franchise.

another vote for Dent Wiz' or similar. I had them remove a dent and was AMAZED at the results.

BUT each location is independent so your experience can vary . . . and sometimes they need to drill a hole - in an interior or door jam location. It will be properly plugged but some decide that paint integrity wins over dent removal so ASK how the PDR (paintless dent removal) guy will access the backside of the dent. That's how they do it . . they get to the back of the dent and press it out using special tools

but I was also amazed at the price ... but I went thru the dealer so paid 100% markup.

Called the Dent Doctor here in Daytona

I had a big dent in my hood on my 3000GT and the Dent Doctor fixed it without messing up the expensive pearl paint. I don't know how he did it but you could not tell the hood was ever damaged at all.

There should be a paintless repair guy in your area that does used car lots etc.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

The person that dented your car needs to be hung up by his EARS??? or something if ever caught.

I had a huge dent in my two month old hatchback by a shopping cart pushed by 40 mph winds. The paintless dent repair did a perfect job. Check them out first as you want to maintain the integrity of the factory paint job as much as possible.

I have also had great experience with paintless dent removal repairs.
For my Mini the repairman wanted to drill a hole in the door frame but instead I removed the rear interior panels so he could get to the dent without drilling a hole. It is just a lot faster for them to drill a hole and cap with a plug then it is to remove and replace interior panels.
